AI Transformation Signals | Sep 21–27, 2026
None of this week's postings had "AI" anywhere in the job title. Almost all of them had it built into the actual responsibilities.
Across the batch I'm tracking, an "AI Developer Productivity Platform" — code review, test generation, PR assist — shows up in a Scrum Master posting at a healthcare tech company, a TPM role at Guidehouse, and a portfolio director role at the MTA. A "Supply Chain Copilot" appears identically across Raytheon, nVent, and a logistics-focused PM contract. Different industries, same embedded capability, zero specialized "AI" hiring language.
My read: companies aren't standing up separate AI functions for these tools — they're quietly folding AI-embedded delivery into existing program and scrum roles as a baseline expectation, alongside legacy system cleanup and cloud migration work. That's a smaller sample than I'd like to call this settled, but the repetition across unrelated sectors is hard to ignore.
If that holds, the workforce question isn't "who do we hire for AI" — it's whether generalist PMs and scrum masters are being asked to govern AI tooling without any added training or oversight structure.
Are you seeing delivery leads inherit AI tool decisions without a corresponding budget or governance layer?
